Healthy Point Acupuncture
Our goal is to get you back to the healthy point, and help you stay there.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT SCHEDULING, LOCATION, AND PRICING CHANGES:
Beginning the week of September 25, 2023, we will be transitioning to a Saturdays-only schedule.
We recognize that this is likely an inconvenience for some, but for others may mean that we're no longer an option at all. Please let us know if you need assistance finding another acupuncturist who can meet your needs, and we'll be happy to get you in touch with another care provider. As of right now, the plan is for us to be available on Saturdays from 9 am to 8 pm. Depending on patient needs, these hours may shift as we get adjusted to the new schedule. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
Beginning Saturday, October 21, 2023, we will be operating out of the offices of Five Elephants Acupuncture at 1436 Bardstown Road.
We recognize that this is also likely an inconvenience for some, but for others may also mean that we're no longer an option at all. Please let us know if you need assistance finding another acupuncturist who can meet your needs closer to home, and we'll be happy to help you locate another care provider.
Five Elephants is located on Bardstown Road between Eastern Parkway and Edenside Ave on the west side of the road, in the little white building between St. James Catholic Church and Murphy's Camera. The building is shared, but Five Elephants has its own dedicated entrance along the side of the building behind the teal door. There's a handful of steps up to the door, and a couple of steps up the front walk from Bardstown. Parking is available on the street on both Bardstown Road as well as Edenside Avenue, and there's a small parking lot behind the building that can be accessed by turning from Bardstown onto Edenside, then taking the first left into the alley. Go past St. James, and you'll find the lot behind a utility pole and a handful of trash cans. There's a walkway between the church and the office from the lot. Parking can be exciting if events are happening nearby, so we'll try to be mindful of when those events are and plan accordingly.
Beginning Saturday, October 21, 2023, we will be transitioning from private one-on-one sessions to a community-style setting, and prices be adjusted accordingly.
In order to best use the space we'll be sharing with Five Elephants, we'll be moving from private rooms to a community style approach. All of the treatment tables are separated by curtains, so you still absolutely have your privacy, but depending on how many other people are scheduled at the time, might hear some other goings on at the same time. There's both white noise and music playing in each of the treatment rooms to help reduce the potential for distraction, and you're absolutely welcome to bring ear plugs or ear buds if that makes it easier for you to relax.
We'll also be adjusting to a sliding scale payment structure. The idea here is to try to make acupuncture as affordable as possible for folks in different financial situations. Treatments will be offered for $40 to $85, whatever you feel is appropriate for your budget needs. This will be regardless of treatment modalities provided, for the most part. We will still be offering acupuncture, cupping, guasha, and moxibustion. Please note: Reflexology will still be scheduled in private sessions at the current pricing - $65 for a half hour and $85 for a full hour.
We understand that this is a lot of change in a very short amount of time (it is for us too!) and are so appreciative of your support and understanding while everyone settles in.
About
Courtney Lantz, Dipl. Ac., L. Ac.
Professional Master's Level Diploma (Acupuncture)
Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy)
Courtney graduated in December of 2018 with honors from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio with a master's level diploma in acupuncture. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, is licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, and is a member of the Kentucky State Acupuncture Association and the American Society of Acupuncturists. While working her way through the program at AIAM, she also earned a certification in reflexology through the same school.
Courtney was introduced to acupuncture after a lengthy battle with her own pain, a five-year struggle for diagnosis, and ultimately little that allopathic medicine could do to control her pain effectively. Through the recommendation of a friend, she had her first experience with acupuncture, and after several months of treatment, saw such great improvement in her symptoms that she felt a calling to learn the healing art herself in order to share it with those who need it.
Because of her personal experience with chronic pain, Courtney's focus is painful conditions, especially those of a musculoskeletal nature. However, she is a general practice acupuncturist and is trained to treat any of the conditions for which acupuncture is indicated. She has an easy going, empathetic, and compassionate personality, and is sure to put you at ease during your treatment.
When she's not working in the clinic, you can find her teaching and performing aerial arts, with a focus on trapeze, aerial yoga, and active mobility. She also loves going on long walks to take pictures of bugs.

Have questions for Courtney? Give us a call, or send us a text, an email, or a message on Facebook! She'd be happy to discuss any of your concerns prior to your appointment.
